Bronchitis is an irritation of the lining in the bronchial tubes. It is the airways that join the windpipe (trachea) to the lungs. The respiratory system is guarded and saved from harm by a mucus-producing lining. When a person suffers from bronchitis, it is frequently unpleasant and tough for air to move across in and out of the lungs when breathing.
Bronchitis is of two type’s viz. acute bronchitis and chronic bronchitis. The indications for the both types are the same, although they vary only in the amount of time the patient has been feeling warning sign.
Generally severe bronchitis crops up after a higher respiratory disease as for example general coldness or a sinus virus. Such patients may have indications like fever with coldness, muscle pain, nasal blockage, and uncomfortable throat.
Cough is an ordinary sign of bronchitis. It may be arid or create phlegm. Lower respiratory area and the lung itself may be tainted in case of major phlegm creation and there may be an indication of pneumonia.
Normally the cough may continue above 2 weeks. Chronic strong coughing makes chest and abdominal muscles painful. Sometimes coughing may be very much harsh and damage the chest wall. In extreme cases it may be the reason a person to faint.
Due to muscular rigidity and irritation of the airways wheezing may arise. This may ultimately involve a person short of breath.
Causes of Bronchitis:-
The reason for suffering from bronchitis may be a virus, bacteria, smoking or the inhalation of chemical pollutants or dust. It is apprehended that smoking is the major reason of bronchitis, almost in 80% cases. This is a continuing situation and it is difficult for the sufferers who smoke to get well from bronchitis and other respiratory diseases.
